Peace on the horizon

Living in one’s shadow was what I had been doing. We all have that one injustice that can carry us to another level of sarcasm and vitriol. We all have our shadow selves that jump out in a second without us even being aware. There are certainties that we need to be true to ourselves with, that hold a foundation for our true belief system. There were times that I knew what I was getting myself into was not factual and pointless in discussion. Why do we not listen to that tiny voice that keeps telling us to turn in a new direction? Having that wonder can be a beholder in my own day to day struggles but having that realism is proof in the pudding. We can be who we want to be with that little nudge from someone close to you. Having that nudge can turn the tables and allow the freedom to be expressed. I wanted to go on this journey but who was coming along with me? CHANGING MY RELIGION Weekend at Bernie’s By Jacqui Ray Both Brenda and I were looking forward to five nights of pure relaxation in Tasmania. We had been waiting months for this trip to serenade ourselves with fun, rejuvenation and women’s empowerment. Once we arrived, our first encounter began when we pulled over for a coffee break. As we walked through the countryside, we came upon an Aboriginal yarning healing circle that had been the foundations for the elders. Their spirit was entwined in the land and their lives were still being recognized for their contributions to society. As we sat on the rock formations, I was picking up on energies of their existence. A woman who was walking past joined us. She explained the heritage of the site and how the tribe and elders were a big part of the area and surrounds. She left, and we never asked her name.
