TIME IS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR.

Image
The coming of the new year is upon us. Not long now until the celebrations are had with the ones we cherish. The times spent around the dinner table longing for respite from the ones we love, are now in the past. We hope, we dream; the magnitude of life has taken us in one fell sweep. We long for the times that made no sense then, the challenges combined from the monumental aspects of change. Change comes when the pretence is waiting to be released. I hope that dreams are fulfilled by all, reaching a pinnacle of success we are all dreaming of.    That has been lost lately for the time of desperation had reached many people’s lives. I was one of them contemplating my next move. I was a believer that all my insecurities were to be placed out on the surface, to showcase how you can get past the dramas of life. Sensing a need to release all the drama brought on by fear was a catapult for my recovery. To curtail the dreams that manifest in your sleep, for I am a believer in dreams....

THE FLOWER BLOOMS.

Image
The flower blooms when we least expect it. I felt the presence when I was pottering around the garden. The garden fascinated me; I could spend days outdoors smelling the roses. I am not sure why; we have our own story. My story can be different from yours, but it is the one telling it that gets the glorification. I spent my time recalling stories for all to hear, that was my way and my opinion. Maybe it might not have been the truth, but it was my truth. The real way of knowing the truth is not that simple. We all know that one person that really thinks their way is the true and tested way.    I am not on that path. I see things but that does not allow judgement on my part to be proactive. I notice the smells; I pick up on the textures and I realise we all have a way of partaking in this world. I can feel that for I had a similar story, a story that took me out of my own comfort zone. A story that can leap from all bounds and show a softer side of myself. I was my own worst e...

The Freedom to Live.

Image
I took the long way home. It had made sense before as I trudged my bags up the stairs.  In light of what just happened there were reasons I was staying. I moved my clothes in, harnessed a new way forward and released all judgement due to the lack of understanding from my fellow peers. This didn’t make sense now but the hurriedness in which I left was by pure choice. In the back of my mind, I had come to the conclusion that my life was meant to be lived. It had made me realise that now was the time that I could cocoon back home, to the everlasting presence of my parents.     My mum had a dislike for him, a dislike for all the ways in which he was. Maybe he was good for some but a mastermind in his foolishness for others. We were young, immature and we held a fascination for booze. We lived our lives in complete denial and the absurdity of the situation did not fall into place until after I left. I stepped back into their home. I had memories of my childhood bak...

WORDS ARE SO SIMPLE.

Image
Words are so simple; they lift you up, they take away the pain and they parade you in front of the one person you truly desire. They help spread love, joy and hatred for all to see. Words are like fragmented pieces; you don’t know where they will lead until they find their place in the home. They turn the tide; they survive the stigma and they bolt you straight up when you need the strength to surrender. Going the distance with communication is less of a burden when you are prepared. Prepared for the backlash and less judgemental ways in which you recline your chair and take it all in your own stride.   Breathing in one’s desires holds a special commitment when worried about how you will be perceived. It will show you how to hold your head up and take that leap of faith. I know myself when it comes to the way I hold myself. I want to yell out and communicate in a way that would not be prolific or worthwhile in my own cause. It shows a timing and judgemental way that I am not proud...

Love and the battlefields

Image
The chorus lifted me up. It  spruced  my imagination and led me on a wild goose chase. This little girl once had an imagination so full of life, it was vibrating through my body. I miss that little girl; I miss that love. The moment of time that pulled me in to the most imaginable time of my life. Who could forget the childhood spent with my friends dreaming up castles, witches, cauldrons and dreaming about prince charming? This is the time in life that I need my prince, a reflection on how life has catapulted us to a realm of despair. A despair so frequent that this is the new norm. We are going through life with a vengeance. Wanting the despair of hate, crimes, sickness and disease rampant around the world.   Love is somewhere hidden at the bottom of the pile. It has evaporated into the unknown as the death, destruction and mayhem riddle our bodies and minds. Love is there. Love is sitting there waiting for us to evolve so that the light can flourish through the darkne...

The Road Less Travelled

Image
The times have changed. They have ripped me apart; they have lunged me back into reality and they have stepped me up in the time of revolution. How can that be when we don’t know what we are dealing with? Sometimes we have to trust, trust our instincts. Be a martyr, be a pauper or be a stumbling block for the less fortunate. We all need that realisation that we can succumb to the life that we so desperately need for survival. A stumbling block that can lead the poor to find humanity and when that happens, the doors are less frightening and threatening for the ones walking through them.   We have an inkling that the roads less travelled are the ones that make us right again. The ones that can flourish when we find that road, find that way of life and hold steady the realisation that unbeknown to us we have another way of moving forward. This is called freedom. This is called living the life that can flourish and accept us warts and all. It is a hard road to follow. I have le...

Growing in times of trouble.

Image
Getting out of your comfort zone takes courage, it takes conviction. How many people wonder when the next stage will hit you with a vengeance. Sowing the seed for growth takes conviction and satisfaction that continues until complete. We can turn our noses up or we can learn to curb the roads less travelled. We all have that inbuilt ability to make things harder on ourselves. I don’t think that changes much these days, but we know a fine line when we see one.   Who thought that going the distance in an online education setting would happen? Of all the times we wondered what life would be like if it changed. Well change has come full circle; it has ripped us out of our comfort zone and shown a real connection to the world that we did not know. Looking back takes time and that will be a learning curve that we all needed to take on board. Sounding the board for realisation with technology is also part of the new times. Learning to navigate our way around a computer takes ownership, it...
